Company Overview
Viva exists to create a global community of child care practitioners and supporters committed to working together to give children all they need to thrive. Viva exists not to supplant local initiatives and local projects but to serve them, to augment them and to partner with them in providing effective collaborative solutions.
Established in 1996 Viva pioneered using the collaborative efforts of local Christian NGOs to serve children at risk. Today, Viva is working to help more than 1.8 million children. At a local level we have 40 networks representing 7260 child-focused projects in 40 countries. Internationally, 81 Christian NGOs (including World Vision, Compassion International and Tearfund) are associate members and partners with Viva.
Viva's international office is in Oxford, UK and we have regional centers in Costa Rica, Uganda and India. There is also an established Board of Directors in North America where Viva is a not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of the state of Colorado.
