Company Overview
Choice Books of Gulf States is a regional distributor organization authorized to use the "Choice Books" (CB) trademark in the general marketplace. Choice Books of Gulf States purchases books from Choice Books Central Office and sells them to various retail stores/locations via the CB displays that they set and service in their trading area. Books are sold to retailers with direct-store-delivery service and full return privilege. Books that are returned from CB displays in saleable condition are resold and books that cannot be resold at full market value are often sold at a discount. Books selected for CB displays are consistent with the mission of Choice Books and attempt to encourage, uplift and provide a positive impact on the life of the reader.
Servicing Region and Office Locations
Choice Books of Gulf States services displays in Alabama, Arizona, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Southwest Georgia, Western Tennessee, Southeast Missouri, Eastern Arkansas, Western Kentucky, the panhandle of Florida, and parts of Nevada. The main office and warehouse is located in Theodore, AL, with District offices in Birmingham, AL, Horn Lake, MS, and Phoenix, AZ.
Company History
Choice Books of Gulf States started distributing inspirational books in July 1990 under the leadership of Ray Brubaker, the first director. By the end of 1990, Choice Books of Gulf States serviced 24 displays, which sold a total of 3,749 books. Today, Choice Books of Gulf States sells approximately 620,000 books annually from about 1,400 displays.
