In teams of two to four, counselors are "in loco parentis" (in place of parents) for their Unit of 8-12 campers. Counselors are expected to be fully engaged with campers, keep their campers safe, act as role models, and guide campers through the schedule/activities they have planned together. During staff training, all counselors will learn the activity skills they will need. -Demonstrate a working understanding of summer curriculum. -Teach curriculum theme and scriptures to summer staff and campers. -Speak in front of large groups with comfort. -Oversee small group formation and fellowship among staff. -Provide spiritual mentorship amongst summer staff and campers. -Use media, books, and other resources to plan Bible Studies and Worships. -Work with the Music Coordinator to carry out worships and can involve more staff upon request.
